JUNIOR EVENT ASSISTANT INTERN

(part time)

Volunteer Hours 

with compensation benefits & development growth 

to internal promotion.


The Junior Event Assistant Intern will assist the CEO and Events Team to ensure clients receive outstanding service while in the planning stages, day-of logistics, and follow-up after of their rental event. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Event Coordinators with selling event products &  services and shadowing appointments with potential clients helping prepare contracts and contact vendors
  • Be onsite (including evenings and weekends) to assist during wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, corporate events, life celebrations, special events & more
  • Assisting Kreative Team with internal creative projects
  • Supporting the Team during special events and public programs
  • Interacting with guests, staff, and volunteers in a friendly and professional manner


Requirements

  • Coursework in Hospitality Management or Event Planning is desirable, but not essential
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Diligence and attention to detail.
  • Experienced and familiar with computers, most especially Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Available to work weekends and evenings in addition to usual weekday operating hours
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments outdoors and indoors
  • Passion for events
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Personable and presentable
  • Must have your own transportation




EVENTS ASSISTANTS

(part time)

$17-$20 per hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the events team with a high number of events, ranging from small intimate events to large corporate functions
  • Promoting Kreative Innovations across all social media platforms
  • Supporting Kreative Innovations with logistical and administrative support
  • Maintaining records of all event bookings for both Kreative Innovations
  • Attending client meetings and site visits to act as a second point of contact for Kreative Innovations clients
  • Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to, guest list management and checking in party guests and showing guests to tables.
  • Helping with the set up and breakdown of Kreative Innovations events efficiently through to completion
  • Prepare and distribute invoices for Kreative Innovations clients
  • Availability for weekends and some holiday work



Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to A-Level standard. A degree is desirable, but not essential
  • Proven project management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Confident with all Microsoft Office software
  • Creative and used to thinking outside the box
  • Excellent networker
  • Passion for events
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Personable and presentable
  • Eager to contribute new ideas
  • Must have your own transportation



EVENT SETUP/BREAKDOWN CREW

(part time)

$17-$20 per hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working under the instructions of an Event Manager.
  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
  • Assisting in all aspects of event setup and breakdown as needed including but not limited to pre-event preparation and post event cleanup
  • Unloading equipment from trucks and setting up venues for events, including chairs and tables, etc.
  • Assembly and disassembly of all event infrastructure
  • Ensuring Kreative Innovations warehouse is clean and organized
  • Assisting with cleaning Kreative Innovations product rentals before and after every event
  • Performing deliveries of rental products to and from client events
  • Ensuring the cleanliness, operational efficiency, and maintenance of event equipment and rental products
  • Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.
  • Packing up equipment when the event is completed.
  • Adhering to event safety standards.
  • Assuming the role of Ticket Taker and welcoming guests.

Due to the nature of the event industry, the majority of our events take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that due to the nature of the event industry, scheduling can be inconsistent and the number of events you're scheduled on each weekend will vary.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Open weekend availability
  • Physical likeness to storybook characters. Women's costumes are adjustable from size 2-8 and men's costumes are around a standard medium to large size.
  • No visible tattoos or piercings, other than ears
  • Bright, white smile
  • Acting and singing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Your own reliable vehicle to travel to and from events if needed
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
